New Mexico still ranks among the worst states for kids.
On measures of child health and welfare, NM now ranks 47 of the Nation. A recent study reports
“New Mexico has some of the worst rates in the nation for child deaths, teen deaths, teen births, high-school dropouts, insecurely employed parents, child poverty, single parent families, idle teens; too many teens are twiddling their thumbs. They are neither in school nor working.”
