The Albuquerque Isotopes want to “Take You Out to the Ballgame”. This community program provides deserving non-profit and community youth groups the opportunity to receive complimentary tickets to an Isotopes home game.We went to a Isotopes game last night, and we will be out there with two more groups of students from our program the next two nights.

This is our second postcard and will be used to recruit men to join our mentoring alliance. Please feel free to down load it and distribute it for Hope for Youth Alliance. We are always in need of men who will mentor young men. 9o% of young men who come to us asking for mentors are absent from their fathers.

Fatherless young boys need a male-model they can learn from, maybe you can be the one.

On measures of child health and welfare, NM now ranks 47 of the Nation. A recent study reports
“New Mexico has some of the worst rates in the nation for child deaths, teen deaths, teen births, high-school dropouts, insecurely employed parents, child poverty, single parent families, idle teens; too many teens are twiddling their thumbs. They are neither in school nor working.”

We believe that mentoring is the key to more effective ministry with youth who come from troubled families and single parent homes. The result of a Mentor in the life of youth will be changed lives and a transformed community.

HYA Mentors help youth make right and wise choices holistically. Studies show that youth with a mentor are, 46% less likely to begin using illegal drugs, 27% less likely to begin using alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip class, more confident in their school performance, one-third less likely to hit someone, and get along better with their families.
